United Way Hosting Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast This Thursday

Brockville – The United Way Leeds & Grenville is hosting their 2025 Volunteer Appreciation Event this Thursday, April 23rd at Cedar Valley Golf & Country Club & The Clubhouse Cafe.

The event runs from 7:30 to 9:30 AM and will feature Wendy Galloway as the keynote speaker.

They will celebrate the volunteers who helped make their 2025 Campaign a success, enjoy a full breakfast buffet, and network with community members and local organizations.

There will also be a media event after to announce their 2026 Funded Partners.

Thursday morning schedule:

• 7:30am – Registration/Networking: Sign in will be by your business and name of who registered. Connect with fellow volunteers, community members, local businesses, and social service agencies while we wait for breakfast to start
• 8:00am – Welcome/Breakfast starts: Enjoy a full breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, home fries, French toast, pancakes, toast, coffee, tea, and juice
• 8:30am – Opening Remarks: Remarks from Member of Parliament, Michael Barrett, Mayor of Elizabethtown Kitley, Brant Burrow + Executive Director Leeds & Grenville, Hailie Jack
• 8:40am – Keynote: Wendy Galloway, Employment Services Manager at Career Services + Lifetime Volunteer Achievement Winner (2026 Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce)
• 9:00am – Awards: Chairs Cup + Community Volunteer Recognition
• 9:30am – Closing remarks: Door prizes
• 9:35am – Cheque presentations: Media event celebrating our incoming funded partners
