The Sports Hall of Fame’s mission is to honour the greatest athletes, coaches, contributors, and teams whose achievements have made a profound impact on the world of sports. Through their hard work, dedication, and passion, these individuals have set the highest standards of excellence, and we are proud to share their stories with future generations.
In 1976, Bruce Wylie had the idea of honouring the top athletes and contributors in the sports scene of Brockville and area. The first inductees to the Brockville and Area Sports Hall of Fame were Bunny Bradfield, Jim Cunningham, Jack Giffin, Charlie Publow and Don Swayne.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Sports Hall of Fame was not re-introduced until 1993, but it has honoured the area’s sports stars, coaches and volunteers since then.
