
Seeley’s Bay – An individual has been charged with several offences regarding the luring of a child.
On Monday, May 25, 2026, the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into an incident involving the luring of a minor. During the course of the investigation, two firearms and ammunition were seized.
As a result of the investigation, Jackson CHASE, 42-years-old of Seeley’s Bay, has been charged with the following offences:
- Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication
- Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age
- Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
The accused was remanded into custody, has since been released, and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on June 26, 2026.
