
Brockville – Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) student-athletes brought home six provincial medals from the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Track and Field Championships, held June 4-6 in St. Catharines, Ontario.
UCDSB athletes earned four gold medals, one silver medal, and one bronze medal at the event, highlighted by the following performances:
- Gold – Tyson Dalzell, Carleton Place High School – Novice Boys Shot Put
- Gold – Isobel Orji, Thousand Islands Secondary School – Junior Girls 100m
- Gold – Isobel Orji, Thousand Islands Secondary School – Junior Girls 200m
- Gold – Thousand Islands Secondary School – Open Girls 4x400m Relay (Victoria Ford, Lilah Kinch, Avalea Simpson, Emma St. Pierre and Olivia St. Pierre)
- Silver – Thousand Islands Secondary School – Senior Girls 4x100m Relay (Tiawna Anderson, Victoria Ford, Isobel Orji, Emma St. Pierre, Olivia St. Pierre)
- Bronze – Joey Conklin, Thousand Islands Secondary School – Junior Boys Pole Vault

Athletes from 14 UCDSB secondary schools qualified for and competed at the provincial championships, including Almonte District High School, Athens District High School, Brockville Collegiate Institute, Carleton Place High School, Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School, Gananoque Secondary School, North Dundas District High School, North Grenville District High School, Perth and District Collegiate Institute, Rideau District High School, Rockland District High School, Seaway District High School, Thousand Islands Secondary School, and Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute.

The UCDSB congratulates all student-athletes who qualified for OFSAA and represented their schools and communities at the provincial championships.
