
Brockville – On July 02, 2026, at about 11:00am, police responded to several calls regarding a disturbance involving a 54-year-old woman on King Street. Callers reported that the woman was yelling and screaming in the area.
One caller advised that the woman was on the patio of Finnegan’s Pub waving a broom around in a manner that caused concern and at one point was striking objects with it.
Officers attended the area and spoke with witnesses, who indicated that the woman had left prior to police arrival. Patrol officers conducted a search of the downtown core and subsequently located the woman at Hardy Park.
The woman was arrested without incident and held for a bail hearing after being charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and causing a disturbance.
