

Brockville – Environment Canada has issued a YELLOW WATCH – Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Brockville, Prescott, Kemptville, Merrickville, Smiths Falls and Morrisburg for late this afternoon and evening.
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail. Wind gusts of 90 to 110 km/h and quarter to ping pong ball size hail possible.
Rapidly developing thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and evening. Forest fire smoke aloft may limit the development of thunderstorms.
Utility outages are possible. Significant damage to property, buildings and trees is possible.
When thunder roars, go indoors! Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.
Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
Large hail can cause significant damage and injury.
