Merrickville – The 188th edition of the Merrickville Fair is set for this weekend at the Merrickville Fairgrounds, from August 7th to 9th.
Hosted by the Merrickville Agricultural Society, there will be Livestock Shows, Horse Shows, Kids Zone, Lumberjack Shows, Exhibit Hall, & more.
Everything kicks off this Friday with Blacksmith Demos, 4-H Inter County Sheep Show, Sheep Shearing Demos, BBQ Supper, Truck Pull and Jed the Mechanical Bull.
Opening Ceremonies begin at 5:00pm, followed by the 4-H Dancing Queens at 6:30pm, Comedy Night at 7:00pm and Jill and The Joneses starting at 8:30pm.
Saturday will see the Children’s Horse & Pony Show, St. Lawrence Sword Fighters Guild, 4-H Inter County Beef Show, Community Group Showcase, Games To Go Trailer, Touch a Truck, St. Lawrence Sword Fighters Guild, Junior Firefighters Obstacle Course, Great Canadian Lumberjack Show, Corn Hole Toss Tourney, Petting Zoo, Beef Cattle Open Show, Horse Pull, Kids Splash Party, Dog Show. and more.
Dunk The VIPS at 6:00pm and Southbound at 7:00pm Saturday night.
The final day on Sunday will feature Canadian and Mini Horse Show, Heavy Horse Show, Maple the Cow, 4-H Inter County Dairy Show, St. Lawrence Sword Fighters Guild, Kids Corn Hole Toss Tourney, and Dairy Cattle Open Show.
Fair admission is$15 per person, with kids 5 and under free. Tickets are available online at http://www.merrickvillefair.ca or at the gate.
