
Brockville – An investigation into a blood trail that was found in the north end of the city by Brockville Police has been determined to be not criminal.
Police say around 7:00am on Wednesday morning, August 5th multiple patrol officers responded to a north end apartment after blood was discovered near the entrances of several buildings on Kyle Court. Officers initiated an investigation to determine the source of the blood and to ensure there was no threat to public safety.
Officers followed the blood trail and determined that the individual had travelled from the vicinity of Stewart Blvd., and Central Ave to the Kyle Court area.
After several hours, the investigation revealed that the individual was located by staff at a north end restaurant where Emergency Medical Services had been called at approximately 4:00 am.
Police said 7he 37-year-old man from Athens was assessed and treated for non life threatening injuries.
According to police the matter has been deemed to be non criminal in nature and investigators believe that the man was intoxicated at the time of the incident and that the injury was accidental.
