Brockville – The Hawkesbury Hawks hosted the Brockville Braves for a Tuesday evening game last night.
After 60 minutes, the Hawks earned the 2-points from a 4-1 win over the Braves.
The first period remained scoreless, setting the stage for an explosive second period.
Hawkesbury’s Remi Gelinas, Brayden Besner and Aidan Stubbings showcased their offensive powers, while Lucas Culhane responded with a lone goal for Brockville.
The third period saw Gelinas extending Hawkesbury’s lead. Both goaltenders played stellar roles, with Brockville’s Dustin Riff making 35 saves and Hawkesbury’s Dimitri Pelekos turning away 37 shots.
The Braves host the Pembroke Lumber Kings Friday night at the Memorial Centre. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
