Brockville – In partnership with MADD Canada and Luna Pizzeria, the Brockville Police Service conducted a Festive RIDE on Saturday night in the City.
Luna had graciously donated several coupons for a free pizza for them to hand out randomly to those in compliance at this year’s #festiveride.
Several of our members of the Brockville Police participated in this RIDE, there was a total of approximately 600 vehicles and 12 roadside tests were completed with only one warning.
Police say that a 71-year-old driver failed to stop at the RIDE checkpoint, and he was pursued to his residence where he was arrested for impaired, resisting, assaulting police and flight from police.
The second, a 24-year-old male was charged with stunt driving, his vehicle was towed and his licence was suspended.
Brockville Police want to thank those who arranged for a safe ride home. #dontdrinkanddrive
