Braves Blanked by Ottawa 4-0 Last Night in Game 1 of CCHL Semi-final Action – VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

Ottawa – The Brockville Braves were blanked 4-0 by the Ottawa Junior Senators on Friday in Game 1 of their CCHL Semi-final Series in Ottawa.

Visibly drained, physically and mentally. Back in the day when the MLB postseason format consisted of only one series—later to be called the World Series. In this format, the top-seeded teams from the American League and the National League would face off in a single best-of-seven series It was an accepted credo that if you had a long drawn-out battle to win your league title (American or National) you didn’t have too much left in the tank for the World Series. The Braves did appear drained.

Sami “The Sultan of Saves” Molu was granted a rest in the 3rd period as Dustin Riff stepped in to make his CCHL debut. In addition to Riff, the Braves, for the 2nd night in a row, had three callups in the lineup; Jackson Arango, Bailey Pipe and Skyler Beks. Great experience for these guys.

The Braves have a history of great bounce backs, particularly against these Jr Sens.

Game 2 is in Brockville on Monday, April 10th. The game starts at 7:30 pm at the Memorial Centre.
