Braves Shutout Ottawa 3-0 in Game 2 of the CCHL Semi-Final Series Monday Night – VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

Brockville Ties Series 1-1!

Brockville – The Brockville Braves tied Series “E” 1-1 with a huge 3-0 shutout over the Ottawa Jr Senators in game 2 of the CCHL Semi-final series in Brockville Monday night.

Sami “The Sultan of Saves” Molu once again verified his selection as the top goalie in the CCHL with his outstanding performance last night.

The troops were back to their aggressive style of hockey, rock’em’sockem and it worked! This couldn’t be better exemplified than by the coach’s confidence in starting and ending the game with the line of Stanutz, Ptok and Stringer!

All lines and the defence pairings shone last night. The “Gold Dust Twins”, Nick “Fearless” Foster and Matt “Chuck” Yeager were at their best. Fearless continued his impressive scoring pace while Chuck was a very impressive physical presence and hit everything that moved.

The initial goal came off a Foster shot from the point and Colin “The Big Train” Elliott touched it and presto it was behind Applebee. Aiden Carolan did a little crisscross after coming in over the Sens blueline and rifled a high one over Applebee’s glove. Nick Foster finished off the scoring with his shorthanded empty netter.

It was a physical game and our guys were physical. I think the “hits” parade was led by Yarde, Yeager, Powers and Stanutz.

Game 3 is back in Ottawa on Wednesday night starting at 7:10 pm.
