Domestic Dispute, Public Intoxication, Outstanding Bench Warrant, Breaching Release Order, Uttering Threats and Assault: Gananoque Police Reports – May 29, 2023

 

Gananoque – Police reports from the Gananoque Police Service from May 23rd to 24th, 2023.

Domestic Dispute:

Police responded to a domestic dispute in progress on May 23, 2023. Investigation revealed that a 30yr old female from Gananoque got into an altercation with her common law which escalated from damaging flowerbeds to the pouring of gasoline around the detached garage and threatening to light it on fire along with the victim.

As a result, the female was arrested on the following charges; Arson, Assault, Uttering Threats, Mischief and Fail to Comply with Probation. The female was held for a Bail Hearing and remanded into custody awaiting her next court date.

Public Intoxication:

On May 23, 2023, officers attended a call of a male attempting to break into a residence. When officers arrived, they located a 24yr old male from Gananoque who was intoxicated. The male was arrested for Public Intoxication and was held in custody until sober and was served a Provincial Offences Notice upon his release.

Outstanding Bench Warrant:

A 37 yr old female from Kingston was arrested on May 24, 2023, who was on an outstanding Bench Warrant for failing to appear and other criminal-related charges. The female was held for a Bail Hearing and later released by the courts with a future court date.

Breaching Release Order:

Officers attended a residence on May 24, 2023, in Gananoque as a result of a 9-1-1 call. Investigation revealed that a 79yr old female was breaching her release conditions by residing at a residence in which she was on conditions not to. As a result, the female was arrested and charged with breaching her Release Order and held for a Bail Hearing. The female was later released with a future court date.

Uttering Threats and Assault:

On May 24, 2023, officers received a call to attend a residence as a result of a call of an assault. Officers attended and spoke with the victim who advised he was head-butted by a young person. The young person also threatened to kill the victim. As a result, the young person was arrested and charged with Utter Threats and Assault and was later released on an Undertaking.
