City Police Investigating Pedestrian Being Hit by Vehicle on Stewart Blvd. Near Highway 401

Southbound Lanes of Stewart Blvd. Currently Closed at Parkedale Ave, Northbound Lanes will be closed soon for investigation!

Brockville – Brockville Police are currently investigating a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle on Stewart Blvd. at one of Highway 401 off ramps this afternoon.

Police say at about 11:30 am this morning, they received a call of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the area of Stewart Blvd and the 401.

According to police, the pedestrian, a young woman is suffering from serious injuries. She was rushed to Kingston General Hospital.

Currently, the southbound lanes of Stewart Blvd are shut down at Parkdale Ave. Northbound lanes are reduced on Stewart Blvd at Central Ave.

The northbound lanes will also be shut down to complete the investigation with the assistance of the OPP, Technical Traffic Collision Investigator.

Traffic is highly congested and the estimated time of reopening is unknown.

Police ask that you please avoid the area.
