Arrest Made After Shoplifting Investigation

On January 13, 2024, at about 11:15 am, police received a report of a shoplifter who had fled Food Basics, with a bag filled with meat products. Officers attended the area and located the
46-year-old, male, subject. The male attempted to flee after observing the police cruiser.

Officers followed and took custody of him in the area of 125 Stewart Blvd. He was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.00 and two counts of failing to comply with probation. The property was recovered and he was released with a future court date.

Unwanted Person Leads to Arrest

On January 14, 2024, at about 5:00 am, police received a call to a residential area on Central Ave., regarding an unwanted person. Police attended the area and located the 38-year-old,
male, subject.

It was also known by police that there were grounds for his arrest from a previous incident on January 12, 2024, regarding charges of mischief under $5,000.00 and two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking. He was arrested on those charges and held in custody for a bail hearing.

Unwanted Person Leads to Arrest

On January 14, 2024, at about 9:30 am, police received a call regarding a 40-year-old, female, who had locked herself in a bathroom at an address on Front Ave., for an extended period of
time. Officers arrived and located the female.

It was known by police that there were grounds for the female’s arrest for theft under $5,000.00. This was stemming from an investigation that took place on December 19, 2023. She was later released on conditions and a future court date.
