Brockville – The movie with scenes that were shot in Brockville last August, ROMANCE WITH A TWIST is now airing on the Hallmark Channel and W Network in Canada.
The movie starring Jocelyn Hudon and Olivier Renaud is about an ex-dancer, Luna, who pairs up with Bennett, a world-class aerialist, when he finds himself without a partner for his upcoming silks performance for the local arts festival.
Some of the scenes from the movie were shot in Brockville in August of 2023, featuring City Hall and the Brockville Arts Centre.
The Director of the movie, Max McGuire who works for Ottawa-based Fireside Pictures has family ties to Brockville, his grandparents used to own a house on Victoria Ave. in the city. He currently lives and works in Ottawa.
Also, long-time family friend, City Councilor Jeff Earl has been coaxing McGuire to film in Brockville.
The film was mainly shot in Ottawa with some scenes that were shot during one day in Brockville last August.
The Hallmark Channel is airing the movie on Thursday, February 1st at 8:00 pm. The W Network in Canada aired the movie this past Saturday night. Not sure if they will be re-airing it.
