Aeros Won 4-3 Over Jr. Bears Thursday Night in EOJHL

Smiths Falls – The Athens Aeros won a 4-3 decision over the Smiths Falls Junior Bears on Thursday night in Smiths Falls.

Aeros’ Nate Thompson got Athens on the board with a goal at 10:07 in the first period with assists by Reid Truman and Nolan Dulmage.

In the second period, Reid Truman picked up the Aeros’ second goal of the night, at 12:59 in the period. The Jr. Bears would pick up their first goal by Peter Legostaev on the powerplay at 16:55 in the second.

Athens would score two more in the third on goals by Noah Cyr and a second goal of the night by Truman. Smiths Falls would also pick up two more in the third by Seed and Conroy, but it was not enough.

Smiths Falls had 39 shots on goal while the Aeros had 23.

The Aeros host the Richmond Royals on Saturday night at Centre 76. Game time is 7:30 pm.
