Landlord and Tenant Dispute Leads to Weapons & Uttering Threats Charges

Brockville – On January 31, 2024, at about 12:45 pm, police received a call on Buell St. regarding a landlord and tenant in an altercation. Additional information was received that one of the individuals had a knife.

Officers attended the scene quickly and the investigation revealed that the landlord was a 48-year-old, female. It was also determined that she brandished a knife and held it during the altercation with her female tenant. There were multiple other people at the scene who witnessed the incident.

The 48-year-old, female, was arrested and charged with uttering threats and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes. Luckily, no one was injured in the incident. She was later released with conditions and a future court date.
