Prescott Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion – Notice of Public Information Centre

Prescott/Augusta – The Town of Prescott and the Township of Augusta have completed a Land Needs Study for sharing wastewater collection and treatment in Augusta along the western boundary of Prescott.

The wastewater system currently services all of the Town of Prescott, the industrial park in the Township of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal and developments in the Township of Augusta along the boundary with the Town.

The Town of Prescott (Prescott) and the Township of Augusta (Augusta) completed a Land Needs Study and identified a mutual benefit for sharing wastewater collection and treatment services in the Township of Augusta along the western boundary of Prescott. Prescott has further investigated the needs of the existing Prescott Wastewater Collection System and Prescott Wastewater Treatment Plant to determine any upgrades that are required to maintain the system in operation and then to expand the system further to the west.

Prescott and Augusta have initiated the environmental assessment process to evaluate the options for expansion of the services to the west.

An open house is being hosted to seek public input of the proposed solutions for upgrading the Prescott Wastewater Treatment Plant and expanding the system to the west.

See Notice of Public Information Centre, Prescott Wastewater Treatment Plant for more information.

It is being held at the Prescott Town Hall, 2nd Floor Grand Room, 360 Dibble Street West on March 26, 2025 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
