Brockville – The city of Brockville is giving notice that the reconstruction of King Street West from Oak Street to Cedar Street will begin on July 2nd, 2025.
They say that K. Mulrooney Trucking has been contracted by the City of Brockville’s Engineering Department to carry out the reconstruction of the water main and storm sewers on King Street West from Oak Street to Cedar Street. It also includes the replacement of the aging underground storm infrastructure as well as the replacement of water mains, new sidewalks, curbing and partial asphalt road surface.
The city says that preliminary work will begin on the project on the last week of June, and the excavation work will begin on July 22nd.
There will be traffic impacts during the excavation period, the city says, with King Street West being reduced to one lane of traffic controlled using temporary traffic signals, as it was in 2024. Cedar Street and Oak Street will be closed at King Street West.
Project Schedule:
- Late June – Preliminary work
- Early July – Excavation begins
- Mid-September – Concrete work
- End of September – Hot mix paving and soft surface restoration.
