Project set to start June 23rd!

Brockville – The City of Brockville will rehabilitate Stewart Boulevard from Centennial Road to Laurier Boulevard from late June until mid-July.
GIP Paving Inc. has been contracted by the City of Brockville’s Engineering Division to carry out the roadway rehabilitation of Stewart Boulevard.
The project includes Cold in Place recycling of the existing asphalt road base as well as a new surface layer of asphalt. While preliminary work for this project has already begun, the bulk of the work is set to begin on June 23rd, 2025.
Traffic Impacts:
GIP Paving Inc. plans to do most of the work on this project at night to mitigate traffic impacts. During this time, one lane will remain open and a pilot vehicle will be used to keep traffic flowing in both directions on Stewart Boulevard.
Project Schedule:
- Late June: Cold in Place base recycling begins
- Early July: Hot Mix Paving
- Mid-July: Roadway shouldering & Driveway/Intersection completions
