Brockville – The Brockville Little League Senior Braves lost both of their games over the weekend.
A tough 5-4 loss for the Senior Braves on Saturday against the host Perth team in a game played at Lanark.
Nick Beach pitched 5-plus very strong innings, and Gauge Moore led the offence with a double and a single.
The Braves had a few defensive letdowns that cost them.
Then on Sunday, they got behind early in their home game against Orleans, but came storming back to make it close.
Jeffrey Barrington, Lucas Forbes and Guage Moore all smashed doubles to bring the Braves to within three runs. Unfortunately, the comeback came to an end when the time limit was reached.
Final score: Orleans 10, Brockville 7
A special nod to Hunter Moore, who has been drilled twice by pitches in the last two days, and has the welts to prove it. Hang in there, Hunter.
Also, congrats to Symon Brisson, who did a great job behind the plate in a rare catching appearance.
The Braves are in Nepean tonight.
