
Brockville – On July 18, 2025, at about 12:15 pm, police received a 911 call about a Brockville City By-law officer being assaulted in the area of the Library.
Investigation revealed that the By-law officer approached a 48-year-old male in regards to him parking his vehicle in an Accessible Parking space without a permit.
At that time, the subject became irate as he began to scream in the By-law officer’s face and pushed him, knocking his phone out of his hands after attempting to record the interaction. The subject then left the scene shortly after and was not seriously injured.
The 48-year-old male was located a short time later and placed under arrest. He was released with a future court date after being charged with assault.
