Merrickville-Wolford – The driver involved in a single-vehicle collision east of Merrickville has died.
On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, just after 7:00 a.m., members of the Grenville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the collision on County Road 43, near Bolton Road. A car had left the roadway and struck a tree.
The lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to a regional trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. She was later pronounced deceased.
The individual has been identified as a 26-year-old woman from Smiths Falls.
The investigation is continuing.
