Driver Charged with Impaired Operation – Registered Four Times the Legal Limit!

Elizabethtown-Kitley – The Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged a driver after a member of the public reported a vehicle being driven erratically on County Road 29.
On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, shortly after 8:00 a.m., members of the Leeds OPP received a complaint that a motorist was weaving and unable to stay in their lane. Moments later, members of the Leeds OPP located the vehicle stopped on the shoulder. The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was transported to the detachment for testing. The breath samples provided exceeded four times the legal limit of alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, 46-year-old Jennifer WATSON of Brockville was charged with two counts of operation while impaired, contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused was released with a scheduled court appearance date. Their driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.

Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. If you witness dangerous or erratic driving behaviour, contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
