
Brockville – On August 7, 2025, at about 3:45 pm, police received a call in regards to a male pushing a female in the area of Giant Tiger on Park Street.
Investigation revealed that a female and a 36-year-old male were near the train tracks at the rear of Giant Tiger while in a verbal altercation.
While they were shouting at one another, the male shoved the female to the ground. She attempted to get back up, and when doing so, the male shoved her back down to the ground again.
Officers located the involved subjects nearby, and the male was placed under arrest. It was learned that the female received minor, non-life-threatening injuries. The male was bound by a probation order with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing after being charged with assault and failing to comply with probation.
