Maitland – NVISTA announced on Tuesday the decision to discontinue production at its site in Maitland.
In a press release issued today, Brook Vickery, INVISTA president and CEO, stated, “We want to recognize and thank the Maitland employees, contractors, and others who have contributed to INVISTA’s success over the years. This decision is not a reflection of their efforts, but rather a reality of today’s market environment.”
INVISTA said it will be relocating the Dytek A® production to its Victoria site while maintaining the strength and availability of its key Texas-based HMD assets.
The Maitland site exit is planned to begin over the coming months, with key milestones and activities phased to ensure a safe, orderly, and compliant shutdown.
Approximately 100 roles directly supporting Maitland operations will be impacted throughout the process. All impacted employees will be eligible for severance benefits. Throughout this transition, INVISTA is committed to treating every employee with dignity and respect, said the press release.
“Our top priority now is ensuring the continued safe operation of our plants as we work through the changes necessary to implement this decision,” added Vickery.
