Brockville – Long-time Brockville Braves volunteer and supporter, Bob Darling, has passed away at the age of 87.
“The Braves family is saddened to hear of the loss of a long-time volunteer and supporter of not only our team but junior hockey. Bob Darling will be missed deeply, and we send out our condolences and thoughts to all of his family and friends during this difficult time,” said the Braves on their Facebook Page. “If you were at the rin,k you would have always seen Bob, whether it was on the bench cheering on and supporting the boys, selling 50/50 in the stands or dressing as Santa Claus at Christmas time. Bob’s presence and passion will always be cherished by our family.”
Darling’s love for junior hockey and the Braves made him a key part of the team’s family for many years. His presence, energy and kindness will be missed by everyone who knew him, but his legacy will continue to inspire the Braves community for years to come.
