
Brockville – Two men are facing theft charges after allegedly walking out of an LCBO in the city with merchandise without paying.
Brockville Police say that thefts of products from the LCBO continue at a high rate of frequency. On Wednesday, November 26th, at around 10:30 am, police received a call regarding another theft from the LCBO on Parkedale Avenue.
According to police, four bottles of merchandise were taken from the store, with the suspect not attempting to pay. Police also learned that there was another man involved, as the suspects left the scene together in a vehicle.
Around 4:00 pm that afternoon, police said that officers on patrol observed the suspect vehicle and pulled it over. The two suspects were then placed under arrest for the theft.
Police identified the suspects, two local men, a 26-year-old and a 30-year-old.
Both suspects were each charged and released on conditions with future court dates for the offence of theft under $5,000.00.
