63 Charges for Offences Committed Against Five Victims

Rideau Lakes – Police have now laid 63 charges following an intimate partner violence and child abuse investigation.
Members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, assisted by the Leeds County OPP Crime Unit, began the investigation on Friday, September 26, 2025. Five victims have been identified.
As a result of the investigation, the accused, a 26-year-old male, is now charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Attempt to commit murder
- Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age
- Sexual assault
- Sexual interference
- Assault cause bodily harm (choke, suffocate or strangle) – 12 counts
- Assault with a weapon – six counts
- Assault – 14 counts
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – 16 counts
- Forcible confinement – four counts
- Dangerous operation – two counts
- Extortion
- Intimidation – use or threatens use of violence – two counts
- Mischief
- Fail to comply with a probation order
The name of the accused cannot be released to protect the identity of the victims.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville in February 2026.
