Brockville – Dear Brockville Business Community, as spring approaches and our beautiful city begins to emerge from winter, I’m excited to invite you to be part of something that truly showcases the spirit of our community; our annual Community Wide Clean up event and the Mayor’s Corporate Challenge.

On Friday, April 24th, I’m challenging every business in Brockville and the surrounding area to join me for the Mayor’s Corporate Clean Up Challenge. This is your opportunity to demonstrate your corporate and civic pride by spending just 20 minutes cleaning up your business property. It’s a small investment of time that makes a meaningful difference in how our city looks and feels.

The following day, Saturday, April 25th, marks our Brockville Community Wide Clean up event, a testament to what we can accomplish when we work together. Last year, over 1,000 community members volunteered their time, removing garbage and recyclables from our parks and green spaces. The energy and dedication I witnessed was truly inspiring, and it reminded me why Brockville is such a special place to live and do business.

This remarkable event is organized by volunteer community members and students who understand that our environment is one of our greatest assets. As business leaders, you know the importance of community investment, not just for today, but for the future we’re building together.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • – Join the Mayor’s Corporate Challenge on Friday, April 24th by cleaning your business property. Sign up here for the Mayor’s Corporate Challenge
  • – Encourage your employees to participate in the Community Wide Clean up on Saturday, April 25th
  • – Share photos of your team in action on social media using #brockvillecommunitycleanup

Your participation sends a powerful message about the values that drive our business community. When residents see local businesses taking pride in our shared spaces, it strengthens the connection between commerce and community that makes Brockville thrive.

Together, we can ensure that our city awakens from winter looking its absolute best. Your leadership in this initiative will inspire others and contribute to the quality of life that makes Brockville an attractive place for families, visitors, and new businesses.

I look forward to seeing you and your teams out there, working alongside your neighbours to make our community shine.

Sincerely,
Matt Wren, Mayor
