
Prescott – One person is facing charges after a significant amount of stolen property was recovered by police.
On Friday, April 10, 2026, members of Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence on McCrea Road in Prescott to follow-up on a break and enter investigation. Officers located an individual in possession of property which had previously been reported stolen.
As a result of the investigation, Timothy MAGUIRE, 31 years old, of Brockville was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime, over $5000
- Fail to comply with probation
On Saturday, April 11, 2026, OPP East Region CSCU executed a search warrant, with assistance from Grenville County officers and the OPP Emergency Response Team, at a residence and property on McCrea Road.
Officers seized approximately $12,000 in stolen property, which was returned to the owner. This remains an ongoing investigation.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody.
