Explore Augusta Map Officially Launched

Augusta – The Township of Augusta is proud to announce that the Explore Augusta Map has officially been printed and is now ready for residents and visitors to discover.

Created to showcase the unique charm and attractions found throughout Augusta’s hamlets, the map highlights local parks, gardens, restaurants, and businesses, encouraging exploration and community engagement.

Among the featured destinations are several beloved parks, each offering distinctive attractions for families and visitors. These include Cedar Street
Park, home to the popular climbing “Spider Web”; Maitland Park, where visitors can find the well-known “Hippo”; North Augusta Park, featuring the playful “Yellow House”; and Roebuck Park, where adventure-seekers can enjoy a zipline.

The map also spotlights local businesses and cultural experiences. Visitors can discover Maison Maitland, which offers French cuisine cooking classes, as well as the historic Maitland Tower. Recently restored, the tower will host a special summer collaboration with the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival, presenting Macbeth at the Tower.

The Explore Augusta Map will be distributed at local businesses, Township facilities, tourism locations, and community events throughout the region, making it easily accessible for those looking to plan their visit or rediscover their community.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of Community Futures Grenville, Ignite Printing, and the Township’s Economic Development and Tourism Advisory Committee.

“This project has been a long time coming, and it’s great to finally see it in people’s hands,” said Councillor Hendrik Pape, Economic Development and Tourism Committee Chair. “The Augusta Map is a powerful way to showcase our community, and I want to thank Community Futures Grenville for helping make it happen.”

The official launch of the Explore Augusta Map will take place at the Spring Home and Trade Show in Prescott from Thursday, April 23 to Saturday, April 25, 2026. Attendees are encouraged to stop by, pick up a copy, and start planning their next Augusta adventure.
