Brockville – Environment Canada has issued a Yellow Warning – Rainfall for Brockville, Leeds-Grenville, Smiths Falls, Morrisburg and Kingston.
Heavy rain is expected. The ground, already nearly saturated, will have a reduced ability to absorb more rain. From 30 to 50 millimetres of rain is expected late this afternoon until Thursday morning.
A low pressure system will cause widespread heavy rain starting this afternoon.
Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas.
Don’t drive through flooded roadways. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@ec.gc.ca or post reports on X using #ONStorm.
