
Brockville – On April 29, 2026, at approximately 3:00am, a Brockville Police Service officer observed a vehicle in the area of King Street West. The officer recognized the driver as a 29yearold male who was known to have outstanding warrants related to previous intimate partner violence related offences.
The driver was arrested on the outstanding warrants. During the arrest, officers discovered the individual had been consuming alcohol. A roadside breath screening device was administered, which resulted in a fail.
The driver was transported to the Brockville Police Service for further testing, which confirmed he was operating a motor vehicle while impaired. This was further supported by the presence of open alcohol containers inside the vehicle.
The driver was released with a future court date for failing to attend court related to the previous charges and was additionally charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired;
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg;
- Novice driver – blood alcohol concentration above zero;
- Having care and control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
