Council held a Public Meeting to discuss and received comments on the Proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment (Vacant Lands County Road 15, Algonquin; Pt. Lot 30, Concession 5)
Below are highlights from the meeting:
- Received Correspondence from A- Maccal Construction Technologies Ltd.
- Approved the Sale of Surplus Equipment – Station 2 Generator
- Declared the road allowance located to the east of Lot 37, in Concession 2 between 2100 and 2934 2nd Concession Road as Surplus to the Needs of the Township
- Received a Staff Report regarding the Tax Arrears as of June 30, 2026 for information
- Received the Budget Variance Report for information
- Directed Staff to work with partnering municipalities regarding the River Route – Rural Transit Solutions Funds and Trial Expansion Hours of Service
- Approved the Use of Fire Marque Emergency Cost Recovery Funds
- Directed Staff to complete all requirements to Surrender of Aggregate Pit Licence – Dixon Pit
- Received the Building Department Monthly Activity Report for information
- Approved the 2025 Financial Statements
- Approved By-Law 3860-2026 – Deputy Clerk Appointment By-Law

- Councillor Pape announced that Bell Fibre has confirmed the project would be completed by the end of July, with ongoing delays for Cogeco.
- Deputy Mayor Wynands spoke to a film crew highlighting the (soy bean) project
- CAO spoke to the upcoming MP and MPP Breakfast hosted by the North Grenville Chamber of Commerce on August 11
- Mayor spoke to St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival and the Macbeth at the Tower series
