
Brockville – On July 20, 2026, at approximately 4:45am, police received a 911 call regarding a vehicle collision on Abbott Street. The collision involved a 44-year-old, male driver, who struck a parked vehicle at that location.
Investigation revealed that there was drug paraphernalia along with physical signs of drug use and impairment. The driver was arrested for impaired operation and taken to the Brockville Police Service for an evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert. That evaluation confirmed that the driver was impaired by drugs.
As a result, the vehicle was impounded, driver’s licence suspended, and they were released with a future court date after being charged with operation while impaired by drugs.
