Brockville – The Brockville & Area Special Olympics held a Bocce Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, July 25th at Hardy Park.

It was held to help send six local Special Olympics athletes to the National Games in Medicine, Alberta.
The six local athletes are:
- Bree Christie – Swimming
- Luke Brunton – Bocce
- Sandi Mercier – Bocce
- Victoria Young – Athletics
- Darby Rodgers – Soccer (On the North Bay Team)
- Kyle Vokey – Soccer (on the North Bay Team)
The 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games is being held from August 11 to 15, 2026.
The funds raised will help cover travel and competition expenses for the trip to Alberta.
