R.I.D.E. Program Results in Arrest

Brockville – On July 28, 2026, at approximately 9:30pm, police were conducting a R.I.D.E. program in the area of Stewart Boulevard. While there, a vehicle approached the officers that was operated by a 25-year-old, male.

Investigation revealed that there were open alcohol containers in the vehicle and that the driver had been consuming alcohol. A roadside breath sample was obtained using an Approved Screening Device, which resulted in a “Fail” reading. At that time the driver was arrested and taken to the Brockville Police Service for additional testing, which confirmed impairment.

As a result, the driver’s licence was suspended, vehicle impounded and charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg. They were released with a future court date.
