
Brockville – There is lots happening in Brockville this weekend, with events taking place along the waterfront and throughout the downtown core.
Whether you’re heading out to enjoy live entertainment, watch athletes compete in the triathlon, or take in the action on the river, be sure to plan ahead and allow a little extra travel time.
Ribfest is Back!
Ribfest is back, bringing great food and entertainment to the waterfront.
Road Closure: Water Street West (Kincaid Street to Home Street)
August 5 at 9:00 a.m. to August 9 at 11:59 p.m.
The downtown waterfront area will see increased pedestrian activity throughout the event, so expect a lively atmosphere and some traffic impacts in the area.
Please note: The Brockville Museum will remain open during its regular business hours.
Poker Run – Saturday, August 8
The Brockville Harbour will serve as a lunch stop for the Poker Run.
Harbour Closure: Saturday, August 8, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Visitors are encouraged to plan accordingly if accessing the waterfront during this time.
No boats will be able to enter or exit the harbour between this time. Boaters planning to be on the water during this time should depart the harbour before 10:00 a.m. and plan their return accordingly.
Somersault Triathlon – Sunday, August 9
Athletes will be taking to Brockville streets, trails, and waterfront routes as part of the Somersault Triathlon.
Road Closures:
6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Water Street East (Ford Street to Park Street)
Ford Street (King Street East to Water Street East)
8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
King Street (North Augusta Road to Park Street)
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Brockville Railway Tunnel – closure will accommodate the running portion of the event.
Before You Head Out
With multiple events happening throughout the weekend, residents and visitors are encouraged to:
- Allow extra travel time
- Follow posted signage and directions from event staff
- Consider alternate routes where possible
- Watch for increased pedestrian traffic in downtown and waterfront areas
