Brockville – The City of Brockville is pleased to announce that construction on the John Taylor Park Development Project is set to begin today, August 10, 2026.
Kehoe Construction has been awarded the contract and will be onsite to complete improvements to the existing park space located along the Brock Trail near St. Paul Street.
Planned enhancements include new seating areas, landscaping, lighting, trail upgrades, signage, decorative features, and a commemorative plaque recognizing the legacy of longtime Brock Trail advocate and former Brock Trail Committee Chair, John Taylor.

Temporary Brock Trail Closure:
To allow construction crews to work safely and efficiently, a section of the Brock Trail between St. Paul Street and Henry Street will be temporarily closed beginning August 10.
Trail users are asked to follow a detour via Water Street West around the affected section of the trail. Access will be restored as construction activities allow.
