
Brockville – On August 18, 2026, at approximately 9:00pm, police received reports of a motor vehicle that had collided with a parked vehicle in the area of Front Avenue West.
Officers attended and identified a 29-year-old, female as the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. The driver sustained significant injuries and was transported to Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KGH) for treatment.
During the investigation, officers observed alcohol within the vehicle. In addition, witnesses reported that the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision, with estimates placing its speed at well over double the posted speed limit.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation. Both vehicles involved were removed from the scene and stored for further examination to be conducted.
Though the injuries were serious, the driver is in stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
