7th Annual Agricultural Showcase Returns to Mallorytown October 4th

Mallorytown – On Sunday, October 4th, Front of Yonge Township will once again be recognizing farming communities from across Leeds and Grenville. The 7th annual AgriCulture – Beyond the Business of Farming Showcase will be held at the Mallorytown Legion.

The day begins at 8:00 am with a breakfast generously sponsored by Burnbrae Farms. Breakfast will be available until noon, with a BBQ beginning at 12.

Food and other vendors will offer their goods from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Farming information booths will be displayed in the Legion.

The Showcase also highlights The Valley Shantyman; Chris Hum; a well-known local musician who will entertain in the Legion garden between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

This is a family event with pony rides, a petting zoo, some inflatable games, pumpkin and face painting and a kids’ colouring contest. Come and try your talent milking Maple the Cow and much more. Learn where your food comes from and the families behind every plate.

Other than the cost for meals, everything is FREE.

“We are excited to welcome community from near and far to this annual celebration of agriculture. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our farmers for the long hours of work they put in to produce our food and other products. This event is Front of Yonge’s way of saying thank you,” sais Mayor Roger Haley.
