Kemptville 73’s Won 6-2 Over Renfrew Wolves Sunday in CCHL

Kemptville – The Kemptville 73’s scored four unanswered goals in the third period to pull away for a 6-2 victory over the Renfrew Wolves on Sunday afternoon at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.

After a scoreless opening period, Kemptville struck twice early in the second, with Kealey and Streska giving the 73’s a 2-0 lead.

Renfrew responded with two power-play goals before the end of the period. Kahriman cut the deficit in half at 9:20 before Gagne tied the game with 33 seconds remaining in the frame.

The 73’s regained control in the third. Venance scored twice, while Kemp and Dickey also found the net as Kemptville erupted for four goals to secure the win.

Della Santina earned the win for Kemptville, stopping 29 of 31 shots. Renfrew’s Costa made 37 saves on 43 shots in the loss.

The 73’s host the Navan Grads this Friday night at the North Grenville Municipal Centre starting at 7:30pm.
