VIDEO: 6th Annual Front of Yonge Poker Run was Held on Saturday September 12 at Brown’s Bay

Brown’s Bay – The 6th annual Front of Yonge Poker Run was held this past Saturday morning starting out at Brown’s Bay.

60 participants came out to paddle a 5km or 10km route beginning at Brown’s Bay that included at least five stops or checkpoints where they drew a playing card. After the paddle, there were prizes for the best poker hand.

The first batch of paddlers were piped out by piper Gord Cramb.

The Township of Front of Yonge hosts the annual Paddle Poker Run, which encourages people to get outside to celebrate and enjoy the St. Lawrence River in an eco-friendly way. All river-appropriate paddle craft are welcome (kayak, canoe, etc.) This is not a race, but a fun paddle that all ages and abilities can enjoy.
