Kemptville 73’s Won 4-2 Over Navan Friday Night in CCHL

Kemptville – The Kemptville 73’s scored three times in the opening 6:05 of the second period and held on for a 4-2 victory over the Navan Grads on Friday night at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.

Nichols opened the scoring at 16:35 of the first period, giving Kemptville a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes. The 73’s quickly took control in the second. Venance scored just 17 seconds into the period before Henderson added a power-play goal 1:41 later.

Arsenault then made it 4-0 at 6:05. Navan responded with Rutledge’s first of the season at 7:14 to cut the deficit to three. The Grads continued to battle in the third, with Hayes scoring at 18:06, but Kemptville shut the door over the final minutes to secure the win.

Kemptville dominated the shot clock 47-18. Della Santina stopped 16 of 18 shots for the 73’s, while Wilson made 43 saves on 47 shots for the Grads.
