
Brockville – On September 26, 2026, at approximately 3:00am, police responded to a report of an altercation in the area of King Street West and Kincaid Street.
The investigation determined that the accused was with a group of acquaintances when a verbal confrontation began with an adult female victim. The altercation escalated, and the 26-year-old male deployed an aerosol restraint spray, commonly known as bear spray, into the victim’s face before fleeing the area prior to police arrival.
A short time later, officers located the suspect near the Scotiabank on King Street West. When police attempted to approach him, he fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested the male without incident. He was taken into custody without injury.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing and has been charged with the following offences:

- · Resist Peace Officer
- · Administer Noxious Thing
