Youth Arrested and Charged for Multiple Offences Including Assault on an Officer

On October 13, 2026, at approximately 6:45pm, officers responded to a residence in the central area of Brockville regarding an assaultive female youth.

The youth, a resident of a local group home, became aggressive toward staff members, reportedly kicking, hitting, and shoving them. Similar incidents have been reported several times in the recent past along with multiple arrests. During this incident, she also damaged a lamp and threatened to harm herself using broken glass.

Officers arrived as the youth was attempting to climb out of a second-story window. Police were able to position themselves below and safely catch the youth as she fell from the window.

The youth was subsequently arrested but remained highly resistant. While being placed in the rear of a police vehicle, she repeatedly struck her head against the partition. As an officer attempted to prevent further self-harm, the youth bit the officer’s arm, causing an injury that broke the skin.

The youth was transported to Brockville General Hospital for assessment and treatment. Her injuries were determined to be minor and non-life-threatening.

She remains in hospital for further assessment and, upon release, will be held for a bail hearing.

The accused is facing the following charges:

The driver, identified as a 58-year-old local female, was displaying signs of impairment and was arrested for possession of cocaine.
