
Brockville – This year’s Ottawa Safety Council (OSC) Crossing Guard of the Year for Brockville is Lacey Cooper.
“We’re proud to recognize Lacey for her incredible work ethic, outstanding service, and unwavering commitment to keeping children safe each day. Her friendly presence and dependable nature have made her a trusted and beloved part of the community,” said the OSC
Brockville Mayor Matt Wren was on hand for the award presentation on Wednesday, June 4th, in Downtown Brockville.
“Council has proclaimed this, the week of June 2nd, as Crossing Guard Appreciation Week in the City of Brockville. We’re so grateful for the dedicated people who serve as crossing guards in the community as there’s nothing as important as the safety of our children and that they get to and from school without incident.” said Mayor Wren, ” Today our partners Ottawa Safety Council hosted a recognition event on our beautiful waterfront and it was great to be there to congratulate Crossing Guard of the Year Lacey Cooper! Well deserved, Lacey!”
