
Brockville – The Brockville Railway Tunnel officially open for its 10th season on Friday, May 15th.

On hand for the opening was Brockville Mayor Matt Wren, MPP Steve Clark and Lyndsay Bigley with Brockville Tourism.
The tunnel is now open daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, seven days a week. In the next couple of weeks it could be closed for short terms as the city completes the lighting repairs.
The Aquatarium had its train on hand to give the first ride in the tunnel. The train operates every Saturday, Sunday and holiday from 10:40 am to 4:40 pm until June 19th when it will operate 7 days a week until August 30th.
The Brockville Railway Tunnel is Canada’s first railway tunnel. It runs 527 meters underneath the downtown core. Built between 1854 and 1860, the fully restored and accessible tunnel first opened to the public in 2017 and features a vibrant, synchronized LED light and music show.
